Ambitious DCI McDonald, who has recently transferred from London’s Met Police, and the unassuming DS Dodds, who has recently been relieved of a long stint of desk duty, make an unlikely detective duo but, seemingly thrown together with nothing in common, they forge a rumbustious, and ultimately highly effective crime solving partnership.

As McDonald adjusts to life in picturesque Bath, she and DS Dodds investigate three curious deaths across the supposedly sleepy Avon Valley. In each film, they must investigate a new and compelling crime story, set against the backdrop of the changing face of one of Britain’s most traditional cities.
