Lost In Austen

“Fruity and frothy like a jam omelette. Amazingly good” The Guardian

Amanda Price, a thoroughly modern heroine, threatens to ruin one of the world’s greatest literary love stories in this ingenious reinvention of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Discovering a door leading from her Hammersmith flat to the Bennet household in Longbourn, she eagerly steps through it, keen to escape her 9-to-5 life and her awful boyfriend. But it isn’t easy playing by Jane Austen’s rules – and making matters worse, it seems Austen’s heroine Elizabeth Bennet has made her own escape to freedom, and has taken on Amanda’s life in the 21st Century. Lost in Austen was shot on location in Yorkshire and supported by the Screen Yorkshire Production Fund.
