Two BAFTA Craft wins for Mammoth Screen

Company News April 30, 2013

Mammoth achieved more award success at the BAFTA Craft Awards on Sunday 28th April.

Sheena Napier won for Best Costume Design for Parade’s End. The World War I drama written by Tom Stoppard for BBC2/HBO has already won at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards including Best Drama Series and netted Best TV Drama at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards.

Actor and playwright Tim Whitnall  also scooped the Academy’s Break-Through Talent Award for Best Possible Taste: The Kenny Everett Story, an accolade designed to showcase the very best of new writing talent to emerge on-screen over the past twelve months. Best Possible Taste debuted to great success in October 2012 on BBC Four – a roller coaster ride through a golden-era of pop culture, lifting the lid on the complex life of the much-missed entertainment icon.

Parade’s End is nominated for a further two BAFTA awards in major categories (Best Actress and Mini-Series) to be held on 12th May at the Royal Festival Hall.
